Welcome to the Nexton Player of the Week Contest hosted by Summerville Communications.


This is a joint project between our three newspapers, The Summerville Journal Scene, The Gazette, and The Berkeley Independent. 


We are using a new platform to host the contest this year. To help make sure voting runs smoothly, we've listed the top three important details.

1. You must "register" before you can vote. Requiring a registration is the only way for us to collect phone numbers and e-mail address so that we can contact the randomly selected gift card winner each week. You only have to register one time and you can use Facebook to do so. If you have any issues with the registration process, call Jo Anna at 843-958-7385. 

2. We recommend you write down the e-mail address and password you used to register and keep it for the duration of the football season.

3. You must be logged in before you can vote. Once you've registered, you'll need to remain logged in so that you can vote. The system remembers your login credentials so next week you can vote again without logging in or login again using Facebook.


FAQ

How does it work?
View the entries and vote for your favorite. Voting is available from 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday until the following Sunday at 11:59 p.m. 
Mondays are used for the staff to tally votes and upload the info for the next week.

Can I still vote if the contest has already started?
Yes. As long as it is still within the voting period.

Are there prizes?
Yes. Weekly Prizes. A random voter will be selected each week to receive a gift card to Carolina Ale House.

If something goes wrong while I'm voting, what should I do?
We hope that doesn't happen but all new systems have their issues. If something goes wrong, please visit the Help page (bottom right) and contact us if needed.
