Every year, Lowcountry Parent magazine invites parents to register their children as potential models. Parents fill out an online form, then upload photos of their children. Registration is $25 per child. Parents (moms and dads) are also eligible to enter the model program. Parents who would like to be considered as models can upload their own images as part of the child's registration. Please read the FAQs below for more information.
Model registration runs from Dec. 1 - Mar. 03, 2019.
Please note: Registration and photo(s) must be received by Jan. 23 at noon to be eligible to take part in a fashion show during the Lowcountry Family Expo on Saturday, Feb. 02.

Q: How do I get myself or my child on the cover of Lowcountry Parent magazine?
Every year, Lowcountry Parent magazine invites parents to register their children as potential models. Parents fill out an online form, then upload photos of their children and, if interested, themselves, and agree to our conditions. The photo(s) you provide will be placed in an internal portfolio that Lowcountry Parent uses to find children and parents to photograph for covers and other projects throughout the year. Our models are chosen based on editorial considerations. The images used in print are generated during photo shoots. Because we have only 12 covers each year, we offer additional opportunities for our models to appear inside the magazine, including spring and fall fashion features. Registration is $25 per child. Parents can upload their own images as part of their child's registration. Please fill out a separate form for each child you are registering, even if you are registering twins.
Q: How will I know if my child has been chosen as a model for the magazine?
If we are interested in featuring a child or parent on the cover, we will contact the family directly by email or phone, using the contact information provided on the model registration form. Occasionally, we also look for models to appear in photos accompanying feature stories. Throughout the year, we will send out emails about other photo opportunities inside the magazine, such as our Photo Opps galleries.
Q: In past years, I could register via a printed form. Can I do so this year?
Lowcountry Parent Models registration is online-only.
Q: What ages are eligible for the Lowcountry Parent Models program?
We accept ages infant - 16. Sometimes we also ask parents to model with their children, so please upload an image of yourself if you're interested.
Q: What benefit do I get by registering my child as a Lowcountry Parent model?
Kids and parents in our models database have the chance to appear on the cover and inside pages of Lowcountry Parent magazine. Registrants will also receive perks including tickets to a RiverDogs game. Registrants who sign up by noon on Jan. 23 will be eligible to model in a fashion show at the Lowcountry Family Expo on Feb. 02 in North Charleston.
